Best museum in Borås. Situated in simonsland the building own one part for the university and some companies itself and the museum located in the first floor and near to the food company. The content of this museum is all about the textile and more textile structures are displayed in this museum. Can find useful records and videos to view through the gallery and entrance free for student. For now they have a kind of game to play it calls tubes and this will available until August. Recommend place for knowledge and fun.
Amazing place! The guided tour of the machines was really interesting and the guide was very funny!
Quite a small but fine museum. There was an exhibition where you could see the fashion over time. There was also a climbing facility and a studio. We were almost the only ones in the museum.
Spent a rainy Thursday morning here and enjoyed the museum thoroughly. The exhibits were expertly laid out and quite interesting. The flow of the machines and thought provking displays really made the Textile Museum on par with the best of museums. Sewing machines and knitting machines were expected, as were some of the clothing available for purchase, but not the furniture made of traditional and modern 3D printed materials. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made us feel welcome. The free entrance was nice, and the free wheelchair was invaluable for my mother-in-law.
Lovely setting, interesting exhibitions
Nice museum! Not a lot of exhibitions but what was there was interesting! Spent some time playing around in the diy zone with different materials.
It's a large museum about the history of textile production in Borås. We would have loved to see more english explanations. Loved the diy area and the tube. It was very difficult to find a parking spot, because we are on holiday and not from sweden and didn't want to do app parking and sms. We can recommend the parking lot of the supermarket nearby which is free for 2 hours.
Interesting museum about textiles. They have a DIY section where you can sew which was pretty cool. It's free if you're a student or under 25 years old.
